Online Reading for Fluency

Welcome to the Online Reading for Fluency site!

We have selected some online sites that have "graded reading" so that you can read interesting material that is not too difficult for you. Hopefully, you can read them without using your dictionary.

  1. To find a reading, you can either click on one of the listed sites, or you can click directly on one of the links below the site name that goes directly to the reading passage. The site will open in a new tab or window.
  2. After you have read it, then you can take a quick 3-item quiz on the story. In the future, you will be able to keep a record of the quizzes you take and your score on each quiz on a Google document. Right now, however, please keep your own record, perhaps on a spreadsheet that you create.
  3. The information after the title, like this [xxxx/y.z] shows the number of words in the reading "xxxx" and a number to show the relative difficulty of the reading like "3.2". A lower number is easier.

We hope that you enjoy using this site!
